Thanksgiving Basket is celebrating it's 15th year of contribution to the San Diego Community. 

 

The idea behind Thanksgiving Basket is to provide "families in need & at risk" with all the ingredients they require to cook a Thanksgiving meal at home.  Thanksgiving with "Dignity" we call it. 

 

Each basket contains a frozen turkey or canned ham, canned vegetables, a box of mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, canned cranberries, rolls and baking pan. 

 

Each year we aim to double our families from the year before - and this year we are aiming for 500 but would love to reach even more....

 

The recipients include the women and children of Becky's House, Hearts & Hands in San Ysidro and this year we have expanded to assist the families associated with Bridges of Hope. 

 

We gather each year at The Children's School in La Jolla @ 2225 Torrey Pines Lane, La Jolla 92037 on the Sunday before Thanksgiving - we pack up the boxes and then we deliver them to all the families...
